Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 4–9:30 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Amherst is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Amherst is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

At $27.99 per person, I expected a memorable hot pot experience—but not for the wrong reasons. The meat had very little flavor, the broth was bland, Tomato Pot Bottom: Just a few pieces with water and Ketchup and the meal felt underwhelming overall. Given my experience, I’m genuinely surprised by the number of positive reviews.

I adore this place! The staff was so welcoming. My friend and I (hot pot newbies) were sat at a table with 4 hot pot bowls embedded in the table. I noticed there were tables with 6 hot pots, and an even larger table in a private dining room. The drink menu offered beer, wine, and sake. We ordered tea, and were provided with a piping hot pot of it. The tea was quite enjoyable. For appetizers, we ordered sweet potato pancakes and spring rolls. The pancakes were addicting. It was fun to dip the spring rolls in the various sauces from the sauce bar. On top of the bar, was a mini recipe list explaining different combinations sauces for different flavor profiles. It was neat. This restaurant has a large entree menu which looked very tempting, but we elected to order off of the hot pot menu. There are 2 broth options for vegetarians: tomato or mushroom. We both chose tomato broth. While we thoroughly enjoyed our food, the tomato broth overpowered the flavors of the food we cooked in it. I wish they offered veggie broth. Once the broth is served in the hot pot, the server explained how the unlimited food bar worked. She was very patient with us, and did her best to answer all of our que

A highly inauthentic all-you-can-eat hot pot place that only works for people who have never had real Chinese hot pot before. The beef and lamb are both processed, compressed meat sliced thinly; they have zero flavor and a weird, plastic-like texture. The seafood and beef tripe weren't fresh at all and tasted muddy. Both the broth and the dipping sauces were incredibly bland and lacked any aroma—you’re honestly much better off buying ingredients from a supermarket and making it at home. The only fresh things here were a few types of vegetables.

I’ve been going here with my partner for almost 10 years. We had one of our first dates here and I can never get enough of the vibe or the food! Awesome for casually going out to dinner and perfect for date nights :) here’s the recipe for my favorite sauce I make! Add to a bowl: • Minced garlic •Cilantro •Green onion •Peanut sauce •Sesame sauce •Mustard sauce •Hoisin sauce •Soy sauce for salt •Top with crusted peanuts, tweak the recipe to your taste and enjoy!

My first hot pot was a bit intimidating but that was short lived! Food is fresh and delicious, service was super helpful and attentive, everything was immaculate and really comfortable! Can't give them 5 stars because it's my first one! I'll definitely go back, and very reasonable too!
